The Australian business is undergoing a period of exponential growth, following a run of successful PPP, D&C and EPC and O&M tenders in the major transport, renewable energy and building sectors. Bouygues is delivering the NorthConnex, Melbourne Metro and WestConnex projects and a number of large scale Solar Farms across Australia, and has recently acquired a building company to deepen its building capability in the market.

Additional key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and implementing QA systems and practices to support the Quality Plan;
  • Performing audits and surveillance of project activities to ensure quality of service, product and workmanship;
  • Assisting with the development of planned and controlled M&E work processes including ITP and Checklist reviews;
  • Assisting the Quality Manager to implement and manage the requirements of the M&E project completions software package Completions Connect;
  • Management of a team of quality coordinators in the field to ensure quality documentation is reviewed regularly and works are being verified against those documents.
  • Management and implementation of systems to ensure that design documentation and approvals are received prior to works commencing; and
  • Ensuring that all nonconforming items are rectified or addressed through NCR’s taking into account durability safety and environmental aspects.

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Standards, mechanical and electrical essential;
  • Well-developed communication and engagement skills;
  • Advanced computer and quality management skills, with knowledge of Completions packages such as Completions Connect or similar will be an advantage in this role; and
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring engineers in quality requirements.
